Food Menu Plugin

Enhance your user’s listed restaurants or similar businesses by giving them an ability to manage their food menus right on your directory website. Plugin provides an option to create a whole a-la-carte or any kind of food menu and even time limited or recurring offers. Each food is easily assigned to listed item and viewable on item’s detail.

Food is properly categorized and can be filtered right on the page. Key information such as price, amount and picture are sure thing.

Daily Menu? Check.

Item detail has special place for special offers. You can choose one food menu type as a special one. This menu is displayed and filtered by days. Daily menu is great example for this functionality.

Item Price Rating

Food Menu plugin adds price rating ability for items. Each item can set its price category on scale from one to five.
Price rating is then present everywhere where it’s usefull like on item detail, items element or map infobox.

You can even set price rating filter in search form and search by price. Also you can filter item maps by price rating easily.

I bought your theme Directory + and I find it very good. But I want to include an option that companies can add to price products in their records. Can you develop an extension in this direction as the example of Food Menu?

    Thank you.

Can the menu be tied into the business owner’s premium account so they can add their own menu and keep it updated for their own business listing? (i.e. for Directory+, Business Finder+, City Guide, etc.)

    1. Zlatko

Hi, since in our website users have to be able to order food online, can Food Menu be integrated with woocommerce so users can make the order?

    1. Zlatko

      Hi again,
yes, you can create different items by using WooCommerce plugin – it’s nicely integrated with the theme /design, functionality, multilingual support/
      Best regards,

    1. Zlatko

      Hello Ernesto,
thank you for interesting in one of our products.
Food Guide comes as all of our products as open source, you can perform modifications or change the code. Anyhow i would advice you to check also your knowledge base:
Secondly, FoodGuide theme uses pre-made Advertisements post type and element to display it in page builder
after release the new plugin – Permission manager – you should be able to let your users to manage all custom post types without coding.
      Best regards, Zlatko

    good day,

what do I need to purchase and install to have the exact same site as your demo. What is the directory membership and do i have to subscribe to the Directory membership to run the site?

I’M NOT VERY FAMILIAR WITH WordPress – will it be easy to install and setup to function and look like your demo?

    1. Zlatko

      Hello Martin,
      thank you for asking.

I would do only need to renew in February, though I would like to renew with the current promotion, though every time that I get directed to PayPal the amount is $225 in stead of $99

    1. Zlatko

      Hello Josh,
renew is possible for the same price only. Therefore, when you are interesting to get the price 99,-USD, you should purchase the package during these days, consequently renewal you’ll proceed in November of 2017 for the price at the moment when you purchase the membership. It is no possible to get this price in February next year. Thanks for understanding.

      1. Joshua

So if I create a secondary account on Ait Themes exclusively for my business, I can pay $99 for the first year on that account and renew at $99 for each consecutive year? I can then let my current account expire in February 2017?

        Kind regards

    GDay ZLATKO!

I recall it being said somewhere some time ago that the Food Menu plugin would, at some time, be made compatible with Directory+

Is this No Longer the Case? …or is it still on the ‘To-Do List’? …and if so – any ETA?

TIA for clarifying the expectations of this plugin.

    …& Happy Holidays!

    1. Zlatko

      Hello Jack,
thanks for coming back on this. We are sorry, this feature is currently not in our To-Do list. But it’s possible we could add compatibility FoodMenu plugin with Directory+ theme in the future.
      Best regards,

    1. Zlatko

      Hello Aritz,

we are sorry, we have no plan to update Food Menu functionality in order to make the compatibility with Business Finder+ theme.

      Sincerely, Zlatko.

    1. Zlatko

      Hello William,
thanks for your interesting in directory products. We are sorry, we have no plan to extend the plugin compatibility for the moment due to the other projects with higher priority. Anyhow, we’ll reconsider it in the future. Thanks your understanding.

    1. Zlatko

      Hello Liz,
Each of our directory themes comes as a single product. Only Food Guide theme is compatible/extendable with a Food Menu plugin.
Free version of the theme doesn’t use AIT Toolkit plugin: /no pre-made custom post types, no Elements to show them in Page Builder/. All you can do with free theme version is setting of colors and some basic functionality, in fact theme is suitable for personal use only (not ready for commercial purpose, no technical support).
Therefore, feel free to have a try our framework – administration of the theme -> i hope you’ll find the following article as useful.
Should you be interesting to extend the common functionality of the theme, you can proceed it by purchasing AIT Toolkit plugin:
If you are interesting in the differences between the directories themes, please have a look at the article:
      Thanks for your understanding.
      Have a great day!

For daily menu, is only list view supported?
I am looking for something which shows grid view with square pic of the item displayed.

  10. Rushabh

In the full membership for $169 what all is inclusive?

Can you mention the 24 plugins and 69 themes that are available?

    1. Zlatko

      Hello Derrick,
thanks for asking. Yes, Food Menu plugin os compatible with Food Guide theme only.
      Thanks for understanding.
      Kind regards!

  11. Matt

In all honesty, the food plugin is really difficult to work. Unless you really know your way around creating the menu and items, it’s very difficult for other users to get to grips with. Adding individual menu items seems to get messy and not be simple.

  12. marin

Hello, the plugin FOOD MENU is not compatible with version 4.9.1-en_EN of world press.
Can you update it because I can not activate it on my site.
    thank you

    1. Zlatko

I purchased the Business Finder theme a while back…I see you have a food and drink theme. Can I use the recommended plug ins from the food and drink for the business finder theme to get the same result? Or do I have to purchase a new theme?

  14. Ray Do

I would like to use the Food Menu plugin simultaneously for 2 purposes:
    1) As an addon to my Restaurant site. (I want to use either the ListingPro or BusinessFinder Theme… whichever is more recent)
    2) Within two of my local business apps with each restaurant, including its Food Menu, loaded as a webpage (website tab)

As such, within my apps, I want to appear:
    a) In one case, the website WITHOUT the header, footer or sidebars
    b) In the other case, JUST the information that is “exclusive” to that particular listed restaurant – no banners, ads, header, footer or sidebars.

#1 above will serve as the primary website while my apps are for the mobile environment.

Is this possible? If so… how??
Which theme would be best… especially with the Food Menu??

    Thank You!

    1. Zlatko

thanks a lot for interesting in Food Menu plugin. Unfortunately the plugin is compatible only with Food Guide directory theme. Secondly, we are sorry, we don’t offer any additional services related to websites of themes users except the following ones: . In general, support covers mainly finding of solutions for problems and helps to users to find the way how to use any of our products. And if there is a bug we’ll fix it as soon as possible. Thanks for understanding.
      Kind regards!

  15. Dave

Can you share any examples of websites that are using the Food Guide theme and Menu plugin together? I would like to see how they function in a live environment before starting development.

  16. Steph

Hi, I was just wonder if the Menu plugin allows users to search in an area by menu item. For example, if someone is looking for smoothie bowls in London, if they searched for ‘smoothie bowl’ in the keyword search, if a smoothie bowl was listed as a menu item for a resturant, would that restaurant show up in the search results?
