We’ve updated the UI. Right now, Migration Plugin looks way more similar to our Easy Admin. The most important feature is a single button migration; you don’t have to click through the entire setup process anymore. One button to rule them all.
So, how to migrate your directory content using our updated plugin? It’s quite simple.
First, you need to install new directory theme and define package inside the Theme Options / Packages. Then combine old user’s packages with the new one. When you’re done, simply save settings. Our plugin then identifies every category, locations, items, reviews and users that need to be migrated. Once this is done, all you need to do is start the migration process (look at the screenshot below). During the process, you can see a status bar in percentage with an estimated remaining time in minutes.
It’s so simple. And yes, we thought about the migration crashes. With our latest update, this won’t be an issue anymore: you can resume the migration process after a crash at any time without loosing its progress.
Even though we’re trying to manage every possible scenario, even crashed migrations, we strongly advice you to create your own backup. The best way to ensure that you’ve got a proper backup is to make SQL dump of your complete database. If you don’t know how to perform such backup, we would be happy to offer you our Backup service.
After the migration process is done, you can review its .log file. This feature is quite handy both for developers and support. In case of a problem, developers can see where and when it happened.Download Directory Migrations Plugin
