Design customization options with Citadela Pro

Design customization options with Citadela Pro

Citadela is the most WordPress friendly theme. Every single line of code, every feature we created is strictly following WordPress codex and guidelines. Let’s see how design customization works in the Citadela Pro plugin.

One of the main goals of the Citadela products family is to be the most compatible theme.

While designing and developing Citadela features, we always follow the guidelines and consult everything with WordPress.org. WordPress developers have big plans for Gutenberg and Customizer. All will change in the following versions. For us it’s therefore very important to follow this progress.

Our Citadela Pro plugin uses default WordPress customizer and WordPress editor blocks for all settings. Colors, fonts, header types or icons can be all changed in Customizer. This is pretty standard these days. We went further and currently there are over 40 different settings to configure various things like website width, page content width layout styles and so on.

Please check the official WordPress Customizer documentation. Or our own online documentation for more info about available options.

We’re constantly adding new features, options or different checkboxes to Citadela Pro customizer. You can be sure to find all design related options in the same place.

What are the options you would like us to add to Customizer? Please let us know in the comments below.

  1. Hi there,
could you add desktop sticky menu on scroll? We’ll need header and menu customization too.
    Thank you.

    1. Hello there,

      Thanks for writing in.
WordPress community is intended to extended Gutenberg blocks functionality that will cover not only header but also footer section. Therefore further features we’ll consider after new WordPress CMS version release.

      An additional info:
In the meantime we have added “Sticky Menu” feature into our plan, estimated time of arrival -> 2nd half of April 2021.

      Thanks for your understanding.

      Kind regards!

  2. Hi Martin,

A word regarding the Item page.

Having to use the old visual editor by default to add your own content is very restrictive. It belongs to the past, now, doesn’t it?

I have enabled the Gutenberg editor. Some blocks work, some don’t.

I really should be able to insert ANY block (core or custom) inside your “Item content” block, using the Gutenberg editor, to add my own content to an Item page.

ACF does it nicely, with its support for InnerBlocks.

It would be so powerful. We could create any template we want, different templates for different item categories, using reusable blocks or patterns. And if we could use ACF blocks, that would be fabulous.

I hope to see that in the roadmap.

    Keep up the great work.

  3. Hi Martin,

A word regarding the Item page.
I have enabled the Gutenberg editor to add my own content. This is great.
Will it be possible in the future to add any block (core or custom) inside your “Item content” block, when using the Gutenberg editor instead of the visual editor ?

Keep up the great work. Best directory theme around.

  4. Hello,
I like a Block that shows what item category and item location the item is in.
This will be helpful if visitors find the item using Google:-)
    Thanks,
    Denis

  5. Hello,
for the maps block ist would be cool to be able to set a height. Or width and height. So I can create a square map.
    Thanks,
    Denis

    1. Hello Hannes,

Many thanks for your feedback and ideas. Image gallery feature has been already added to plan, “Image icon pin” will be considered too: https://www.ait-themes.club/brand-new-memberships-3-2021-progress-report/

  7. I’m working on a new Citadela Pro site and there are several things I’d like to see in the editor, including:

1- Change default header sizing; right now a larger logo breaks the header background
2- Customize the menu color. This seems like a pretty standard change, but I don’t see anywhere to modify it without CSS, which then causes issue with the sticky menu.
3- Change default buttons behavior. While changing the main colors modifies the button color, there’s no way to change the hover color?
    4- Add icons to buttons
