Advanced filters work like magic – new Citadela Directory feature

Advanced filters work like magic – new Citadela Directory feature

New fantastic feature has just been released. Our developers and designers did an amazing job making it as straightforward to use as possible. Advanced filters work closely together with the Item extension feature we released just before Christmas.

Advanced filters simply use custom Item information from Item Extension inputs. You have a full control over the filter. You can decide which Item extension field will be and will not be used in filtering. Advanced filters support checkboxes, select and multiselect extension type. Options from these input types are displayed on the Search Results pages as filters using Directory Advanced Filters block which is available on Search Results special page.

As always, the Citadela Directory plugin works nicely together with the Citadela Pro plugin that allows you to customize the look & feel of everything in Citadela. You can easily customize the color scheme of your filters and submit button.

More detailed information about this feature can be found also in our official Citadela documentation.

  2. Hello,

its getting better and better, thanks so much for this important feature!

It will be even cool, if the structur in the backend EDIT will be a little more user friendly.
Right now all fields a under another, this makes it a little cluttered for the users.

Arrange them like in the frontend filter section will be great.

    Thanks,
    Denis

  3. Hello,

this is real cool! Thanks for adding!

It would be cool, if there will be an integrated dropdown for LOCATION and CATEGORIES.

This will be helpful, IF you do just a KEYWORD or GEOLOCATION search.

On the Resultspage you can then, choose category and location if you like.

    Thanks,
    Denis

  4. Hello,

maybe it will be possible in an update to relate the advanced fields to special item categories?

If you have a website with lots of diffrent ITEM categories, then the list in the edit-post can be very long, caus not every field will be needed for every category.

ITEM Hotel = Field “free Beds”
ITEM Restaurant = field “table reservation”

Item Hotel & Restaurant = Field “Wifi”

    For example.

    1. Hello Rasmus,

Thank you for being interested in Citadela listing features. Firstly, you have unlimited options to create inputs in Administration -> Citadela Listing > Item Extension. Advanced filters allows you to set up the following input types “Checkbox”, “Select” and “Multiselect”. You can choose any text for label input. For detailed info please visit also https://www.ait-themes.club/item-extension-block/ and https://www.ait-themes.club/listing-advanced-filters-block/#Show_data_options
